World Diabetes Awareness Campaign

In November, Team UME participated in the World Diabetes Awareness campaign.
.
This initiative aims to be the global driver that promotes the importance of taking action to confront diabetes as a critical global health issue
.
The campaign is represented by The Blue Circle which is the universal symbol for diabetes. It signifies the unity of the diabetes community in response to the rising number of people affected by the disease.
1 in 10 people are living with diabetes and 1 and 1 in 2 people with diabetes don’t know they have it.
